Dr. Charles Oliver
Dr. Charles Oliver earned his Master’s of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and qualified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist by the American Physical Therapy Association Board of Physical Therapy Specialties several years later.
He owned his own physical therapy office in New Braunfels, Texas for five years before deciding to pursue his chiropractic degree. Dr. Oliver earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker College of Chiropractic.
In his spare time, Dr. Oliver tries to live the healthy lifestyle he preaches to his patients. This means being as active as he can be, playing tennis with his youngest daughter, running sprints super fast (for a really old guy), lifting weights, and hiking with his wife.
Combining the Best of Both Disciplines
“I love physical therapy and I really enjoyed helping my patients” he says. “But the more I learned about how effective chiropractic was, I knew that I had to learn these techniques as well. That is when I started looking into chiropractic. I found that it gives me an exponentially greater number of tools to help my patients. Now I can use gentle chiropractic techniques along with physical therapy techniques. Together, this combination delivers truly amazing results.”
He Wrote the Book….
Dr. Oliver’s enthusiasm for helping patients motivated him to write a textbook on manual therapy. Manual therapy is the “hands-on” care provided by chiropractors, physical therapists, and osteopaths. “This book has been a passion of mine for some time. It is the combination of chiropractic and physical therapy; a subject that has never been covered before.”

I have been at Comprehensive Chiropractic for about 1 month. It has been a great experience. Dr. Oliver is wonderful and very thorough in assessing the problem, developing a treatment plan and executing the plan. He evaluates and re-evaluates to make sure each patient is progressing and pain is going away. The staff is kind and courteous and go above and beyond to make very visit smooth and productive. The facility is also amazing. This is my first time going to a chiropractor and it has completely exceeded my expectations. I recommend Comprehensive Chiropractic highly.

I originally visited Integrative Medical for issues I was having with my back. After 3 sessions I felt the staff was just throwing me on a massage bed and had me do silly excericises similar to what I did in elementary school for stretches. I had explained my issues to a friend and she recommended me to try out Dr. Oliver. From the minute I walked in Dr. Oliver’s Office, I felt the staff seemed more professional. Dr. Oliver had up to date X-ray equipment that was more detailed oriented. He explained and showed more details to what was my problem with my back than what I got from Integrative Medical. Dr. Oliver would pop my neck and back into place, had me do more challenging excersises that actually strengthened my back, and had more state of the art equipment to treat people with. Needless to say, I left Integrative Medical to continue and complete my 30 sessions with Dr. Oliver. I felt more welcomed as well as more confident in what I was getting from Dr. Oliver than Integrative Medical. I would reccommend Dr. Oliver to any of my personal friends and family.

Dr. Oliver and his staff have been extraordinary! They genuinely care about everyone that walks through their door and they treat everyone as family. I have only been going to him for about a month and I can already feel the benefits of his care. Dr. Oliver is very knowledgeable and has earned my trust to repair my broken down body. Dr. Oliver and staff are very professional and obviously care about their patients. I first arrived with a debilitating pinched nerve in my neck, and they made room for me the next day. The initial treatment, including the cold laser, gave me 90% relief by day 2! At my second appointment Dr. Oliver spent a lot of time with me reviewing my xrays and my condition, explaining why I was hurting and what he recommended my treatment should be. I signed up for ongoing treatments to help restore the curve in my neck. I am still in that process, and my neck has not had a pinched nerve in it since. It has been a couple of months now. I am grateful to the entire staff for their care and concern. They operate as a well-oiled machine and are extremely kind and helpful. I highly recommend them!

If I could give Dr. Charles Oliver and his staff more than 5 stars I definitely would! Dr. Oliver and his awesome staff are always welcoming, courteous and professional. I went to see Dr. Oliver for my poor posture, neck and back pain I’ve had for years. The treatment plan he has put in place for me has helped me tremendously. My pain has decreased and I can now sleep without pain.

This place is wonderful! The staff are just amazing! They greet me by name every time I come in, and you can tell that they enjoy their jobs aren’t just there for a paycheck. They are very helpful and patient, and they genuinely smile when they work with you. Also, the place is really clean and welcoming. Dr. Oliver is great as well! He’s very knowledgeable and personable. He has a great bedside manner and worked with me to customize a treatment plan that was tailored to me and my issues. All in all, this is a great place, and I highly recommend them!

Wow. Amazing place. Not just a chiropractor. It’s SPINAL REMODELING. Something I’ve been needing for years.
I also had a DRAMATIC reduction in my chronic headaches in only 3 visits! I’m speechless. I’ve been living with chronic headaches for over 4 years. I was tired of medication and injections. Dr. Oliver is not “doctor back cracker, have a nice day come back and see me next week and bring me more money and referrals, turning and burning patients”. He’s all about EDUCATING patients and establishing a unique and individual care plan using the most up to date best practices based on each patient’s specific needs.

BEST CHIRO / PHYSICAL THERAPIST I’ve ever been to!!! And I mean that! I have been seeing Chiropractors for over 40 years with neck and back issues. I had severe chronic pain in the right side of my neck that would be so debilitating I couldn’t even turn my head. I’d see a Chiro – get it adjusted only to have to return two days later for another “fix”.
Then I was referred to Dr. Oliver by my Primary Care Physician for IT Band pain (left hip down the leg). After the initial evaluation, he talked to me about the treatment and what to expect. After a few weeks of this treatment by him and his AMAZING staff of therapists, I was able to start lifting weights in the gym again and resume my regular strength training workouts!
I also talked to Dr. Oliver about my chronic neck pain and my frequent lower back pain. After completing a long questionnaire and x-rays, my treatment plan began. The treatment plan involved a nutritional consultation, a detox/cleanse and many new PT techniques to re-align my spine and straighten the very obvious curve in my neck. These exercises have also increased strength in my neck muscles and helped improve my posture significantly. The pain is now GONE!!! When I have a flare, it’s usually because of my diet and I have learned what to avoid.
I am now on a maintenance schedule with Dr. Oliver and his wonderful staff twice a month. I enjoy the happy and friendly atmosphere of his office and brag about him with everyone who needs Chiropractic care.
